She started painting in 2002 and, after taking part in a course with printmaker Alma Vorster in 2008, she was hooked. Besides Vorster, she studied printmaking extensively in South Africa and England, including classes with Peter Wray and Niki Hampson. Her first exhibition, ''Imprints'', was a joint exhibition with Alma,  presented at the 2017 ''[[National Arts Festival]]''. Her first solo exhibition was at the National Arts Festival in 2018.

Helen Brent Cooper (19**-) is a theatre maker, print maker and entrepreneur.

Biography

Born East London,


She started painting in 2002 and, after taking part in a course with printmaker Alma Vorster in 2008, she was hooked. Besides Vorster, she studied printmaking extensively in South Africa and England, including classes with Peter Wray and Niki Hampson. Her first exhibition, Imprints, was a joint exhibition with Alma, presented at the 2017 National Arts Festival. Her first solo exhibition was at the National Arts Festival in 2018.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She was the co-founder of the Kalk Bay Theatre in 2004 with Simon Cooper, Nicholas Ellenbogen and Liz Ellenbogen.

She also co-founded the production company KBT Productions with her husband, Simon Cooper.
