The original text
A memory play about Rudolf Preller, whom the listener gets to known on the day of his funeral, when he comments on and thinks about the the people and events in the seaside town where he had worked as a blind piano-tuner.
Written as a commissioned work for the celebration of 70 years of radio in South Africa, it was first broadcast in 2007.
Published in the collection Droomskip en Ander Radiodramas, the piece was awarded the Suid-Afrikaanse Akademie vir Wetenskap en Kuns's pennant for radiodrama in 2008.
