Niël le Roux is a playwright, director and cultural organiser.

Biography
Studied at the University of Stellenbosch.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
While a student at Stellenbosch he wrote and directed the play Sprokieskoningkryk van die Voortlewendes (1978) for production by university residences Huis Marais and Irene.
He was the CEO of the Suidoosterfees from 20** to March 2014, when he decided to enter the political arena to stand as a DA candidate with the portfolio arts and culture.
He later became the CEO of the Stigting vir Bemagtiging deur Afrikaans ("Foundation for empowerment through Afrikaans")[1]
