Diekie vannie Bo-Kaap is a musical play written by Zulfah Sallies (1961-2016).

The text was originally written as a play and performed at the Baxter Theatre in 1992. Later rewritten as a popular youth novel and published by Tafelberg in 1997, a work that gained popularity as a book used as a high school set work, and would run into more than 30 reprints over the years.

1992: Presented as Diekie Vannie Bo-Kaap by Bo-Kaap Productions at the Baxter Theatre from 27 to 31 October 1992, directed by the author with musical direction by Ebrahim Karriem, featuring a cast of 22 young actors.
