Kombuis-Blues (“Kitchen-Blues”) is an Afrikaans one-act play by Jeanne Goosen (1937-2020).

Performances
Despite some negative reaction to the crude language and occasional blasphemy in the piece from more conservative audience members, it was popular and eventually performed nationwide as well as in London, Frankfurt, Brussels, Leuven and The Hague.
1990: Sandra Prinsloo directed the play for PACT, with Trudie Taljaard
1990: Presented on the Fringe, National Arts Festival.
1991: Presented by NAPAC and Sandra Prinsloo Productions at the The Loft, Natal Playhouse, 7 to 19 October .
Awards
In 1991 Trudie Taljaard was nominated for a Fleur du Cap Award for her role in this play, while Goosen won the 1991 Dawie Malan Award for best South African Play.
