The Funda Schools Drama Festival is one of a number of annual arts events and programmes of national and international status organized by the Kwa Mashu Community Advancement Projects (also known as K-CAP or KCAP).
The first festival took place in 2013 and the aim of the competition is to encourage and promote community involvement through the arts and help students get involved in their communities, teach students the impact of drama in society and encourage the study of drama as a career amongst students. A further objective is to provide local artists with the opportunity to display their work and talents.
