To Dorothy, a Son is a comedy by Scottish playwright, screenwriter and director Roger MacDougall [1] (1910-1953).

Filmed as a British comedy film in 1954. It is known in the U.S. as Cash on Delivery.
Performance history in South Africa
1969: Presented by The Sandowners, opening 3 September at the Sandown Arts Theatre.
Both Bess Finney and Phyllis Early are reported to have played in a production of this play in South Africa, probably pre-1978.
