Brief Descriptions and Brief Descriptions II are two one-man plays written and performed by Graham Weir (1959-2020).


Performed by Graham Weir, directed by Gys de Villiers at the National Arts Festival Fringe, 1993. The play text of Brief Descriptions II received the 1993-1994 National Vita Award for Best Playwright was awarded to Graham Weir for

The script was also published by Graham Weir in a book entitled how GRAHAM WEIR has accidently managed to stay aLIVE, launched at the Grahamstown Festival in 2002. Besides the script, the volume also includes extracts from the play How Graham Weir Accidentally Managed to Stay Alive, the scripts of Psychodelic Cowboy and Sister Nun, Letters from Patient Essop, Tales From The Dark Corner, and some of his short stories.
