The 969 Festival [1], which takes its name from the distance between Grahamstown and Johannesburg, brings the best of the National Arts Festival to Johannesburg since 2003. The adverts proclaim the motto: "No need to travel the 969 kilometre journey to the Grahamstown Festival, as you can catch all the top talent from the festival at the Wits Main Theatre in Braamfontein."
