The original text
Written in 2005, the play was inspired in part by the crimes of sex offender Toby Studebaker, and depicts a young woman meeting a middle-aged man fifteen years after being sexually abused by him when she was twelve.
Translations and adaptations
A film version called Una premiered in September 2016 at the Telluride Film Festival.
Performance history in South Africa
2011: Presented at the Golden Arrow Studio of the Baxter Theatre Centre, from 22 March to 9 April, directed by Bo Petersen, with Warrick Grier, Deborah Vieyra, Rebekah Nathan and Lucy Giffard.
