The Tshwane University of Technology (Acronym: TUT) is a higher education institution in Pretoria, South Africa.
It that came into being through a merger of three technikons — Technikon Northern Gauteng, Technikon North-West and Technikon Pretoria in 2004.
Its theatre and performance departments have been key training departments for stage technicians, designers, theatre managers, etc, as well as actors and directors.
