Born Mark Albert Kavanagh in London,  1866, he became an "operatic vocalist" and seems to have used the name Albert Cavanagh on occasion. He was later a prominent member of the [[D'Oyly Carte Company]].
 
 
 
 
 
He died on 26 January 1922.

According to [[D.C. Boonzaier]] (1923), [[Albert Cavanagh]] arrived in South Africa as a prominent member of the first [[D'Oyly Carte Company]] to visit the country in 1897.
