Biography
He was a marine officer aboard the H.M.S. Boscawen, a leading member of the Boscawen Amateurs, praised for though he may also have been a Cape Town resident.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He is specifically mentioned as the lead Don Caesar de Bazan (Dumanoir and d'Ennery), but almost certainly also appeared in the various other pieces performed by the Boscawen Amateurs company between December 1857 and May 1859, including The Somnabulist (Montcrieff), Who Speaks First (Dance), and three pieces by John Maddison Morton: Box and Cox, Grimshaw, Bagshaw and Bradshaw and The Rose of Amiens, or Our Wife.
