Die Uniform des Feldmarschalls Wellington ("The Uniform of Field Marshal Wellington") is a comedy in one act by August Friedrich Ferdinand von Kotzebue (1761-1819)[1].

The original text
First performed and published in 1816, and collected in Dramatischen Werken von August von Kotzebue Vol 57 (Vienna, 1829).
Translations and adaptations
Translated into Dutch by "P.L." as De Uniformrok van den Veldmaarschalk Wellington (literally: "The uniform dress of Marshall Wellington") and published in Amsterdam by H. van Kesteren in 1817.
Also found in Dutch as De Uniform Rok van Wellington and De Uniformrok van Veldmaarschalk Wellington in some cases.
Performance history in South Africa
1837: Performed in Dutch as De Uniformrok van den Veldmaarschalk Wellington by the Stellenbossche Liefhebbery Tooneel - Stellenbosch Amateur Theatre (under the motto Door Yver Vruchtbaar) on 19 August, 1837 in Stellenbosch , as afterpiece to Dertig Jaren, of Het Leven van een Dobbelaar (Ducange and Dinaux).
1852 Performed in Dutch by Door Yver Bloeit de Kunst (with a shortened title as De Uniform Rok van Wellington) on 10 June in the Hoopstraat Skouburg, Cape Town, as afterpiece to Storb en Werner, of De Gevolgen van een Tweegevecht (Bonel and Boirie).
1865: Performed in Dutch as De Uniformrok van den Veldmaarschalk Wellington by Door Yver Bloeit de Kunst on 28 September, with De Kluizenaar op Formentera (Von Kotzebue).
1875: Performed in Dutch by the Rederijkerskamer Aurora II, Cape Town, on 8 July as De Uniformrok van Veldmaarschalk Wellington, with De Twee Broeders (Brunings) as afterpiece.
