Henrietta "Poppy" Frames (1904 - 1985) was a ballet teacher and a pioneer of classical dance in the old "Transvaal". She was the first South African to be honoured with the Grace Bristow Award by the Royal Academy of Dancing in 1984. She was elected a fellow of the Academy in 1980 and was a founding member of the Johannesburg Dance Teachers Association (1923), and the Johannesburg Festival Ballet Society in 1944.
