Rajendra Chetty (19**- ) [1] is a South African academic and amateur theatre actor.

Biography
Was appointed Head of Department of Research in the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) [2] in 2004. He is one time the President of the English Academy of Southern Africa, and was awarded the Fulbright visiting professor scholarship to the USA in 2015 and received the 2016 Medal of Honour from the South African Education Association for his research.

As actor
A part time actor, he played "Sunny" in the 2010 Cape Town production of The Lahnee's Pleasure, staged by Artscape in partnership with the High Commission of India, directed by Ronnie Govender.
As academic
