Born in Stellenbosch he completed a Law degree from Stellenbosch University in South Africa and Oxford University and is an advocate at the Johannesburg Bar.
Jean Meiring is a practising advocate at the Johannesburg Bar, where he is a member of Group621. Having completed LLB and BA(Hons)(Latin) degrees at Stellenbosch, he studied and taught law at both Oxford and Cambridge.
