Her father was an attorney in Pretoria and she grew up in the city’s Waterkloof area. She was an accomplished pianist and after studying for her LRSM certificate taught speech and drama. Biography
Born on 27 August 1930, Leonie Jessie Aaltje Ross is the daughter of Henry Duncan Ross and his wife, Johanna Aaltje van Oostrum. Her father was an attorney in Pretoria and she grew up in the city’s Waterkloof area.
