According to the listing by Reginald Clarence (1909:p. 320) this is a one act operetta that was first performed in the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London on 29 October, 1829. No author is named, though F.C.L. Bosman seems to have misread Clarence's list of abbreviations and refers to the "D.L." as the pseudonym of an author rather than a reference to the venue.
