Has worked as a freelance film and theatre journalist for more than 30 years, inter alia as contributor for Lifestyle since 2012.

As a published playwright he has written Yes, Masseur (1995) and The Beauty of Incomplete Things.

In 19** he created the independent training initiative The Writing Studio in Cape Town.
