Een Hedendaagsch Duel ("a contemporary duel") is a dramatic sketch by "Giuseppe"

The original text

The only reference to be found to a play of this name is the one in F.C.L. Bosman (1980:pp. 462-3).

Since Bosman lists it as a "dramatiese skerts in 2 Bed." by a "Giuseppe", it is most probably a Dutch version of Il Duello al Buio ("The duel in the dark") a melodrama in two acts, with an Italian libretto by Giuseppe Checcherini (1777–1840)[1], which was published by Tipografia Flautina in 1835[2]

See also A Duel in the Dark by J. Stirling Coyne, which is probably also based on Checcherini's original work.
