Dramatic and Gymnastic Entertainments is the name given to a new style of eclectic entertainment put on, inter alia, from 1867 by the First battalion of the 9th Regiment in Cape Town's Garrison Theatre, consisting of light, Christy's style, entertainment, mixed with light comedy, more serious fare and gymnastic displays.
