The original text
A dramatization of The Miller of Mansfield by Sir Walter Scott it was first performed in Edinburgh on 27 February, 1826; E.O.H. M. 20/10/1834). Published by Dicks
1866: Performed as Cramond Brig, or The Gudeman of Ballangrich in Cape Town by Leroy and Duret, in association with Alfred Ray, on 12 November in the Theatre Royal in Harrington Street, along with a performance of A Bachelor of Arts (Hardwicke). It was a benefit performance for Mr T. Brazier and Mrs Brazier.
