Founded in 2005, the ''[[eMzantsi Carnival]]'' is an annual event that encourages communities to cross cultural barriers and to spend a day together in a carnival atmosphere, to foster pride in the unique cultural heritage of the Cape’s south peninsula.  The event includes a carnival parade with dancers, musicians and giant puppets in bright costumes, followed by a stage show, gum boot dances, minstrels and more.

Founded in 2005, the eMzantsi Carnival is an annual event that encourages communities to cross cultural barriers and to spend a day together in a carnival atmosphere, to foster pride in the unique cultural heritage of the Cape’s south peninsula. The event includes a carnival parade with dancers, musicians and giant puppets in bright costumes, followed by a stage show, gum boot dances, minstrels and more.
