He made his debut as actor in Paul Malherbe's production of Die Gelukkigste Dae van jou Lewe. He also appeared on stage in Die Kaalkop Prima Donna, Husse met Lang Ore, Send for Dolly (Baxter Theatre), Die Vonkel in haar oë! - 'n Spel van my kontrei (1989), Brothers (1988) and on television in Heroes, Boerewysheid, Arende.

As director: he directed the cabaret Mes Amis Mes Amours for the Oude Libertas and his own play Kringspel 'n Kleuterspel vir Grootmense (ATKV Best Production, Best Director), and Kennedy's Children.
