Biography
Stanley Daly was a jockey who played himself in the horse racing drama The Stolen Favourite (1919), directed by Joseph Albrecht for African Film Productions. Little is known about him, except that three months after the release of the film he sustained a nasty fall in Kimberley and was taken to hospital. In 1921 he was injured again and faced a charge of culpable homicide following a motorcycle accident in Turffontein in which a pedestrian was killed, though at the trial evidence was given that the victim had been inebriated.
