Ruth Miller (1919-1969). Poet and playwright.

Born in Uitenhage, educated in Pietersburg (now Polokwane), and lived in Johannesburg until her death from cancer. Chiefly known for her sensitive and symbolic poetry, she won the Ingrid Jonker Prize for Poetry in 1965.

She also wrote a one-act play, The Finches, in poetic form.
