Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He was on the staff of the Rhodes University Drama Department in the early 2000s.

He has been involved with the Cape Town Edge platform on the National Arts Festival programme since around 2006.

South African director, writer, educator, producer and arts leader Rob Murray was appointment as Artistic Director of the Amsterdam Fringe [1] in 2016.

Rob has enormous breadth of experience working across the South African industry – including presenting work on the Fringe, Arena and Main stages of the National Arts Festival and at the Cape Town Fringe, as well as at other major festivals and institutions.

He played the restaurant owner in Gumbo, Baxter Theatre 2008.

Awards, etc.
