Helen Wilkins (19**-19**) is an actress, prompt, treasurer, and dress advisor.


Biography

Helen Wilkins has been involved in every Port Elizabeth Shakespearean Festival production at the Mannville Open-air Theatre since its establishment in 1972.

She participated as a cast member, been a Director twice, assisted with costumes, schools liaison for block bookings, front-of-house, prompt and is honorary treasurer of the Port Elizabeth Shakespearean Festival.

Over the years she has worked under Directors such as Leslie French, Helen Mann and Helen Flax and acted with a host of talented fellow thespians.


Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

1974: Starred as Mrs Lavinia Penniman in Dorothy Sutherland's production of The Heiress at the opening of the Cate Theatre in Port Elizabeth.

1991: Was production secretary in CAPAB and Helen Mann's production for the Port Elizabeth Shakespearean Festival of M. Butterfly at the Port Elizabeth Opera House. September 16 - 21.
