L'amico ("The Friend") is an Italian play in one act by Marco Praga (1862–1929)[1].

Published in 1886, and again in 1908 (with La Morale della Favola) in Treves.

Translations and adaptations

Translated in to Dutch as De Boezemvriend ("The Bosom Friend") by J.F. Schill and published by Belinfante, Den Haag in 1890.

Performance history in South Africa

1908: Performed in Dutch as De Boezemvriend by Onze Taal in the Empress Theatre, Pretoria, on 18 June, with Voor het Diner (Simons-Hees) and Jean Marie (Theurieb).
