In 1896 het ds. Adriaan Moorrees, M.J. Stcuki, ds. P.J.G. de Vos en andere Ons Tijdschrift begin. Hierdie voortreflike tydskrif het tot 1901 verskyn. J.F. van Oordt (D'Abrez), een van sy getrouste medewerkers, was die firma se amptelike skrywer. Hy was verantwoordelik vir Zuid-Afrikaansche Historie-Bibliotheek wat uit ’n kultuur-historiese oogpunt en vanweë die rol wat dit gespeel het om trots in die nasionale verlede aan te wakker, veral belangrik is.

In 1898 het die maatskappy geldelike probleme ervaar en is dit oorgeneem deur die Amsterdamse firma J.H. de Bussy, wat drie jaar vantevore ’n tak in Pretoria geopen het. De Bussy het aan hou om die Kaapse tak van Jacques Dusseau & Co te bestuur en wel onder die naam Hollandsch-Afrikaansche Uitgevers-Maatschappij (HAUM).

J.H. de Bussy Uitgewery was a Dutch printer and publishing house, formally known as N.V. drukkerij en uitgeverij J.H. de Bussy.

Founded in Veenendaal, Netherlands, in 1868, moving its head office to Amsterdam in 1883.
