De Gouvernante ("The governess") is a comedy by Th. Körner ()[].

The original text

Written in Cape Dutch, published in Amsterdam as De Koekdief in 1904.

Later published in Afrikaans as Die Koekdief by De Bussy in the series Die Suidafrikaanse Toneel, no. 7 (1921)
