Liefde voor het Vaderland ("Love of the fatherland") is a dramatic sketch in three acts by A.A. van der Stempel Jr (fl 1860s-70s)

The original text

Though no text by this name can be found, it is ascribed to A.A. van der Stempel by F.C.L. Bosman (1980) and was probably written for the Rederijkers circa the 1870s-1880s, perhaps a local version of a dramatic sketch called Het Vaderland Roept ("the fatherland calls", a performance of which is recorded by the society Nieuw Leven in Emmen, 1919), or more likely, a locally adapted version of something like A.A. van der Stempel's early work, Drie Lotelingen voor de Militieraad ("three conscripts before the military council", published in Steenwijk by H.
