Biography
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As teacher he actively participated in school and amateur theatrical activities as author, director and performer, and helped in offering courses in theatre Organised by the Department of Education and Culture (The Education Department for the "Coloured" community under the Apartheid government in the 1980s).
Founder of the Belhar based theatre group called Chosen Few, which produced all his Kaaps (or Cape Afrikaans) plays, including Luister djy tant Maggie? ("Are You Listening Aunt Maggie?" - 19*), Weekend in Sesstraat (19*), ‘n Traan vir Onse Moses ("A Tear for Our Moses" - 19*), Duskant die skietbaanlyn ("This Side of the Shooting Range Line" - 19*).
