Known as ''[[Call me Thief]]'' in English, or often found bilingually as ''[[Noem My Skollie: Call Me Thief]]'', it is based on the true life story of a young man who becomes a storyteller in jail.
 
 
 
Based on the experiences of [[John W. Fredericks]], the script written by [[John Fredericks]] and [[John W. Fredericks]], directed by [[Daryne Joshua]]. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Released in 2016, it was the official submission of South Africa for the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category of the 89th Academy Awards in 2017.
