He was married to Ursula Jeans.
Toerien-Rubin Company brought him, together with Cicely Courtneidge, Jack Hulbert, Ursula Jeans, David Kossoff, Robertson Hare, and director Anthony Sharp from London to star in Oh, Clarence at the Civic in 1971.
