Abimelech is a full-length Afrikaans play in three acts by D.F. Malherbe (1881-1969).

The original text
The play is based on the book of Judges and tells the story of Abimelech[1], the ambitious son of the Biblical judge Gideon, who sought to kill all his brothers in order to become king.
