Pieter-Paul Fourie (1947-). Playwright, translator, literary advisor and theatre organiser.
At one time married to theatre theorist and historian Eunice Reynecke (Eunice Fourie).
Career
He worked as literary advisor for PACT and later for the ATKV in its various theatre projects. He later resigned to become a full-time writer.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
His play Conspiracy was put on by PACT in 1976.
He translated several plays into Afrikaans, e.g. The Miracle Worker as Die Wonderwerk, Boeing-Boeing, L'Avare as Die Vrek, A Month in the Country as 'n Maand op die Platteland, Fadren, Happy Birthday as Kat in die Donker.
His adaptation of [[Misdaad op Bokeiland
He wrote Intimate Relations based on Les Parents Terribles by Cocteau.
