The Amazons is a farcical romance by Arthur W. Pinero (1855-1934)[1].


The original text

First performed at the Royal Court Theatre on March 7, 1893 and subsequently also played at the Lyceum Theatre in 1894.

Translations and adaptations

In 1917 it was adapted as an American silent film of the same name, directed by Joseph Kaufman.

Performance history in South Africa
