An abridgment of  ''[[The Committee, or The Faithful Irishman]]'',  a comedy by Sir Robert Howard (1626-1698), (Also simply referred to as ''[[The Committee]]'') ,  which had probably first been performed in London in 1662, and printed 1665.
 
 
 
First performed as ''[[The Honest Thieves]]'' in the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden on 9 May 1797
 
 
 
Printed in London for and under the direction of G. Cawthorn, 1797.
