De Nachtmerrie (1829/1840) (also known as De Nachtmerrie, of De Vampyr) is a freely adapted Dutch translation of the German play Das Neue Sonntagskind, which was in turn based on Der Furchtsame, an original Austrian play by Philipp Hafner.
