Published by Mad. Ladvocat, Paris, 1817.


Translations and adaptations

Translated into Dutch as De Grijze man, of De Rondborstige ("The grey man, or the frank man") by "P.L." (P. Lemarque).

Published in Amsterdam by H. van Kesteren en zoon, 1817.

Performance history in South Africa

1825: Performed by Tot Nut en Vermaak in the African Theatre on 15 April 1825, as afterpiece to Pamela (Pelletier Volméranges)
