Mr Bertrand (17**-18**) was a pioneering ballet master in the Cape Town at the start of the 19th century.
One of the "overseers" (producers) and director of dance for the first production of Het Beleg en het Nemen van Troyen by C.E. Boniface in the African Theatre, Cape Town, on 11 September and 9 Pctober 1813.
