While there is little information on him, his offices at 12 Kortemark street Cape Town did serve as ticket office for [[Tot Nut en Vermaak]] in 1837. Furthermore he appears to have been a collaborator in a number of Boniface's theatrical and journalistic ventures,  both in Cape Town in the 1830s and briefly in Durban in 1844, when he and Boniface founded ''[[De Natalier]]''.
