Biography

He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland.


Youth

Training

He studied at Italia Conti School in London.


Career

Stage work began in repertory at Billingham, Canterbury, Ipswich. He appeared in Mandrake and Big Bad Mouse in the West End.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Since coming to South Africa he has had roles in Grease (for Brickhill-Burke), Rebecca (with NAPAC), Aladdin (with NAPAC) and The Merchant of Venice (with NAPAC).

He appeared in Mothers and Fathers (Toerien-Firth Company 1980), Romantic Comedy (Pieter Toerien), Rose (Toerien-Firth Company 1980), Moving (Pieter Toerien 1981), Stevie (1986), Breaker Morant (NAPAC 1987), The Taming of the Shrew (NAPAC 1991). Other productions for NAPAC include Terra Nova and Winnie-the-Pooh.
