He resided at Kerkstraat (Church Street) no 7, Cape Town, and was the organiser of productions for Door Yver Bloeit De Kunst in 1833, and for Vlyt en Kunst from 1834, working with C.E. Boniface who had taken over the artistic leadership of the company.
