Lock and Key is a "musical entertainment" in two acts by Prince Hoare (1755-1834)

First performed at the Theatre Royal, Covent-Garden. Published by T. N. Longman, London, in 1796.

1812: Performed in the African Theatre, Cape Town on Saturday 20 April by the Garrison Players, with The Poor Gentleman (Colan Jr) (However, Hoare's play is cited by Bosman, 1928: p. 143 as The Lock and Key.)
