Sean Cameron Michael (1969-), is a South African singer and stage, film and TV actor.

Wrongly listed as Sean Michael Cameron in some cases.

Biography

Born in Cape Town, South Africa on 24 December 1969, he started out as a performer at the age of twelve, appearing in several stage musicals, and during his schooldays studied drama with Rita Maas-Phillips).

After completing his two years compulsory National Service as an infantryman in the South African Defence Force in Potchefstroom, he had a few part-time jobs, before becoming a a full-time actor and singer.

He has performed in over 30 theatre productions and 100 local and international television and film productions over the past 30 years.

Film and TV work includes the multi award-winning features The Gospel of Matthew, Confessions of a Gambler and Faith Like Potatoes by director Regardt van den Bergh. Michael became a household name in SA in local TV productions such as the controversial drama, This Life (based on the UK cult classic), the popular daily, Egoli and a mini-series called Ella Blue directed by Oscar nominee Darrell James Roodt. Other South African work includes Die Spreeus on Kyknet, and the feature films Triggered and Fried Barry.

Work on major international series and features, include Bryan Singers' Emmy winning sci-fi, The Triangle, CI5: The New Professionals, The Adventures of Sinbad, Jungle Navy, Deep State on DStv, Scorpion (CBS) and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (CBS) Black Sails (Starz), Shooter (USA) Blood Drive (SyFy), the new remake of MacGyver and Netflix’s The Last Days of American Crime, Around the World in 80 Days.
