Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra

Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra (ECPO) is a part-time regional orchestra based in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), South Africa, combining local professional musicians and dedicated amateurs. It was established as an independent organisation in 1998, following the closure of CAPAB.

The Orchestra presents up to fourteen full scale orchestral concerts annually, ranging from family orientated open air park concerts and youth concerto festivals to symphony concerts with massed choirs. The Orchestra also presents and organises ensemble concerts and popular music concerts, including wind bands, string ensembles, jazz groups, chamber groups, and full scale symphonic pops concerts.
