Amarequiem is a musical piece for actors, solo singers, a choir and an orchestra. Devised by Matthys Maree and Niel van Niekerk.
The creators used the Afrikaans text translation of Shaffer's Amadeus, interpolated with Mozart's Requiem, to create the piece
2011: Amarequiems performed at the Vryfees in Bloemfontein, devised and directed by musical director Matthys Maree and stage director Niel van Niekerk, with Gerben Kamper as "Salieri".
